Our Work.
John started traveling to Alaska to fish as a teenager, learning the ropes from family and friends. He bought his first boat, the F/V Providence in 2009 and began fishing for himself. It soon became evident that many people would prefer buying their sustainably harvested seafood directly from the fisherman. This is when the Wild Alaska Fish Market was born.
Misty joined him in 2016, fishing her first commercial season with John in Alaska, then in San Diego. We pride ourselves in providing the freshest and highest quality of products directly from our boats to your fork. We harvest world-class pristine Alaskan Spot Prawns in the Prince William Sound and then we move on to harvest the beautiful prized sockeye salmon in the Cook Inlet. After spending some well deserved time off with our children in San Diego we head out of Point Loma in the fall on our other boat, the F/V J-B searching for swordfish, tuna, opah, or whatever else the catch of the day may be. |
